If you're in Dōtonbori then you owe it to yourself to visit this cosy whisky bar. We thought it opened at 18:00 but it turned out that day it wasn't supposed to open till 19:00. Nevertheless the owner, Sho, was kind enough to let us sit down and enjoy a couple of Highballs while he set up. I tried as much as possible to use my (barely) N5 level Japanese to order drinks, thankfully his English is solid and we had a nice chat. All the reviews I've read about this place say it's warm and welcoming and that really is the case. This is a great place to sit and enjoy a few drinks and sample some lovely whiskies by a guy who really knows his stuff. A serious recommendation.

Visited back in Nov22, EPIC little spot - cash only - great selection of whisky - plenty of other choices from a very knowledgeable barman SHO... Cant thank Sho enough for having us and engaging with us, he made our OSAKA experience 12/10. Had a great chat about music, if you read this Sho I'm going to see Babymetal in Australia June23!

If you happen to be around Dotonbori area, you should drop by to Bar Sakamachi. A very small bar but had a wide range of selection of alcohol/liquor; especially whiskey. The barman was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I'm not much of whiskey drinker as I prefer to drink Sake or Wine but the barman highly recommend some whiskey for me to try and I enjoyed it. I decided to go to this Bar two nights in a row and brought my friend on the second night and my friend enjoyed it and like the atmosphere/vibe. The barman doesn't speak much english but was very entertaining to talk to. Prepare to pay in cash as the bar doesn't accept credit cards however, the prices are affordable. So not to worry! Highly Recommended!
