Osaka, Japan｜Udon Kyutaro

This place is so good we came back twice! The noodles are fresh and so bouncy. You can choose your own tempura (roughly 100¥ per piece) and noodle dish from their seasonal menu. Their menu seems to change quite often, assumably due to the seasons and what is fresh and available. You might have a line up for a short while as you would many places in Japan but the wait is not long and so very worth it!

Went here early in the morning around 7.30am on a very quiet street. It is all standing, without seats. I realize the locals eat very quickly and leave immediately after finishing the food. Was very surprised by how good this simple udon dish is. The soup was really good and flavourful. The tempura additions were great too at JPY100 each. Highly recommended! The shop can only serve 8 at one time if I remember correctly, that's why it is better to go early if you can and avoid peak hours.

My boyfriend found this place via local community website as we travel to Osaka and want to try something local people like to have. This place has no seats, yes, you gotta stand while eating and they have around 8-10 standing slots. We were excited for this experience tho. The udon is quite good with reasonable price.
