Uzaku gozen ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - I loved all the flavors together - it was really smokey and delicious - it wasn't overly sweet - came with sides that complemented the dish - the eel just falls apart - I think I only didn't like the broth much Hot sake ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - what you'd expect 📝 - you have to take off your shoes

The staff were very kind, polite, and accommodating. As an American tourist with poor Japanese, I still felt very comfortable here. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. It's a good place to take a break from the crowds of dontonbori. The unagi had a nice smokey, charcoal flavor and it wasn't too sweet. I ordered a mini kaiseki meal and enjoyed it. I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to write one since the experience was great.

What a gem of a restaurant! Located in busy Dotonbori but it was a quiet restaurant with both traditional Japanese seating and also tables and chairs. Really tranquil atmosphere as there weren't many customers. Ordered the normal set lunch which was so delicious. The sauce that comes with the unagi was just perfect and you can add more if you like. Sides included an omlette roll with unagi, miso soup and pickled veggies. And after the meal they offer tea or coffee. Extremely friendly staff and top notch service. Well worth the price for a uniquely Japanese dish and dining experience.
