Osaka, Japan｜うなぎのじょん

Stumbled upon this izakaya specializing in unagi on our last night in Osaka. Service was great and everything we ordered was delicious! Their original liquor was also really refreshing on the rocks with a hint of spice at the end. A bit pricey but it was definitely worth it!

Great place! All the reviews complaining about the skewers and wait don't know what they are talking about. The 20 minute wait is written right on the menu and they prep it from scratch right in front of you and it is well worth it. Also, it isn't fast food so 20 minutes for a sit down meal is super quick. The Unagi was awesome and a great meal. One of the best I had in Osaka...also there is sugar in the sauce hence the caramelization and it's also cooked over charcoal.

This is the best restaurant experience we had on our trip to Japan. The food was to-die for, the drinks delicious and plentiful, the atmosphere so charming. The owner, John, played amazing 90's R&B music, and chatted with us long after all the other guests left. We're going back tonight.
