Cozy little corner restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The couple that run the restaurant are really wonderful and expertly whip up the best okonomiyaki. They are very welcoming to non-Japanese speaking tourists and take their time to explain the menu and the best way to enjoy okonomiyaki! Absolutely wonderful and would recommend to everyone!

Had a wonderful okonomiyaki in this cute little joint. Loved the counter seats and watched the lovely couple expertly whip up their skills. It was super yummy and delicious. The lady chef speaks english and explains the food patiently. We had a good experience!

A hidden gem in Kyoto. Run by a husband and wife who have been making okonomiyaki for the last 29 years, the place is quite cosy and you can see the love that is put into making the okomiyaki. The ingredients are so fresh and cooked on in front of you if you choose counter seating. We were lucky as the place is usually quite busy. The taste for the okonomiyaki is so fresh and we were advised the traditional way to eat it was with the spatula and not chopsticks. We tried their plain vegetable okonomiyaki which was so full of flavour and also the modern-yaki which was a combinate of the okonomiyaki and yakisoba. So delicious and pairs so well with the optional spicy Ori sauce. Also recommend their yuza icecream - sorbet texture with yuza bits inside. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area 👍🏻
