We really enjoyed our dinner there! The lady who helped us was super friendly and we appreciated the wide range of ingredients to choose from. Our seven year old had a great time cooking her own dinner. Our broth was topped up twice and she brought nibbles and dessert to us as well. Not sure why this place gets bad reviews, we would definitely recommend it!

While sightseeing in Kyoto with two girls, the pink neon signboard was cute and I entered the store.
