Osaka, Japan｜Akami Modern Chop House

I chose this steak house based on Google ratings and proximity to our hotel. The neighborhood is very quiet, and literally on a Monday night we were the only ones in the restaurant. Google says that it is $$$ but I would say it’s $$$$. Having said all of that, it was a fantastic coursed meal, western in style as opposed to a Japanese steakhouse. We had the tenderloin course menu. My favorite courses were the lamb starter and pumpkin soup. Of course the tenderloin was great, as was the chocolate cake. Our two servers were very helpful and spoke English well, which was needed as the menu is pretty much in Japanese.

Thank you so much with my mom’s birthday, we had a wonderful time, you guys are so sweet, a lifetime memory for my mom for sure :)

July 2, 2023 Lunch eat-in 11:30 I made a reservation after confirming that the evening menu (tenderloin course) could be served at lunch time. As soon as you park your car on B1 and go up the elevator, you can get a parking ticket on the way back. I ate spring chops before the appetizer, and it was the softest and most delicious lamb meat I've ever eaten😋 The smoked salmon appetizer was thick! I don't really like raw oysters, but salsa sauce (even if I don't use it 🆗) makes it zero fishy... I like the salad and the dressing on a fairly large plate. The main tenderloin was voluminous, and I was very satisfied with the horseradish and garlic chips. Cold is better except when it's really cold!? Since it was Sunday, I was able to experience Kouki-san's magic, and it was a great day☆☆☆
