Kyoto, Japan｜Kyoryori SATSUK

Food were served with explanation by our host (Sachiko-San). Enjoyed my time having this kaiseki (kyoryori). The ingredients are sourced in and around Kyoto/Japan. Lovely time and food is pretty amazing too. The restaurant has Japanese style, its pretty and cosy atmosphere helped me celebrate my day. Finding the restaurant take some time. Best option is go via Kiyamachi-dori instead of google map which sughest the running track via the river. The restaurant walkway is narrow. (See video for the 2022 look)

Had my first Kaiseki experience in this restaurant. I’m one that doesn’t take much of raw food and owner Sachiko-san has specially taken that into consideration (my menu was curated a little differs from both my son and hubby). A definitely cozy warm restaurant to go if you are in Kyoto!

Satsuki is excellent. They recently started doing dinner on their deck facing the river and it is fantastic. The level of service here is super traditional in an exceptional way. They are English friendly which is cool but not touristy -go with the set course menu and you’re good to go. Pricing on 750ml sake were mostly less than €40 which is a steal.
