Kyoto, Japan｜cafe marble Bukkoji

Really enjoyed this cafe. Better coffee than most places. Quiches and tarts are different and full flavour. I tried the lemon and chocolate, filled with lemon balanced with dark chocolate and a candied lemon on top. The vanilla ice cream was creamy and tasted home made. Both quiches were full bodied and flavour. The chicken curry was subtle and well balance, the salmon quiche could have had more salmon. The mince and lentil curry (mild) was simply excellent.

Arrived mid evening loaded with luggage under the heat, I had barely seated and they already offered ice cold water. Highly recommend their kiwi cake and grabbing a soda. Staff is incredibly kind.

Ambience of shop is top notch! Food wise, the tarts are on the sweet side, but there are called sweets for a reason so I have no complains about that. Cafe Au Lait is served with your own sugar choice. Tasted great too! One thing to note that, we can order at our seats here, so don’t have to order at the counter!
