Kyoto, Japan｜Yataiya Karasuma

We were coming back from a shop and was looking to get an afternoon snack. Heard some laughing and took a peak in... staff seated us and gave us an english menu. We ordered butter garlic clams and a bunch of deep fried items... delicious and cheap. Felt great for the atmosphere. Looks like a frequent local dive as even the staff spoke very little english... it just made it a better experience! Amazing for what it is!

Very nice Izakaya, Staff were friendly,the waitresses were a little shy,but probably just worried we would as them something in English. They have an English menu. Prices are reasonable and we left feeling full. The atmosphere was nice,lots of chatter from other tables but not too loud.
