Kobe beef!! This was the most satisfying meal I had my entire trip. The restaurant is beautiful and the gentlemen who sat and served me was kind and spoke exceptionally good English. There's plenty of seating for people dining alone or in groups, and there's a whole second floor in case the first one fills up. Beware if you order an Asahi super dry, it comes in a massive bottle! I was a bit tipsy walking back to the hotel.

Great place for steak! Including high quality beef, Kobe beef too. (Kobe beef at 200g for 12,000 Yen). It was quite well hidden from the main road, an easy guide would be, this store was exactly opposite of Cross Hotel entrance. The design and layout was very good. Service was excellent. There was also English menu available for tourist. There was always a queue whenever I was there. Enjoyed the food very much. Strongly recommended for beef eater! Do note of the operating hours, to avoid disappointment.

A secluded place with great indoor atmosphere. The food was delicious and we were a bit sad we discovered this hidden gem at the end of our stay so we couldn't revisit. We had the steak with fries and everything was great, what we loved was how they serve the food on hot plates and it still sizzles and grills in front of you. The beer was very affordable - best price we had in a Kyoto restaurant in this area (550 yen for 0.5l bottle of Asahi) - really appreciated them keeping it real.
