Kyoto, Japan｜Okonomiyaki wa Cocoyanen - Shijo Omiya

Best okonomiyaki that I ate in 15 days in Japan! Really cute place, you can order through a tablet changing the language in English. They are also really kind!

A family run business, tucked away in the corner of an alleyway in shijo-omiya area of Kyoto. Great food, amazing hospitality. Although the interior could use a little help, but I'm willing to overlook that because the okonomiyaki was so damn good. They serve it on a grill built into the customer tables, to keep the okonomiyaki hot. Oh and they have a randomizer, where you will definitely win either an appetizer, a drink or a dessert. I got the fluffy tofu and damn that was good.

We came across this restaurant while looking around for a place to have our last dinner in Kyoto. We wanted it to be special and this restaurant definitely made that happen. The food was great. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere feels very nice and cosy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy nice food. Another thing, you order from a tablet (also in English) so very foreigner-friendly.
