[Delicious lunch at Kyoto University cafeteria] I was nearby for work today, so I stopped by Kyoto University's cafeteria. This is a cafeteria where people from the neighborhood can come and go freely. When you first enter, you grab a tray and choose your main dish at the counter. Then, you can also order rice, miso soup, etc. at the counter as needed. However, at this restaurant, you can choose from rice mixed with ancient rice in addition to white rice. I like this ancient rice rice. The texture of the ancient rice, which has a sticky texture inside the rice, is nice. This time, the main dish is an ethnic dish called Kaimi Chicken. It smells a bit like chicken, but I think it's because the salt is drawing out the moisture. Whether you hold it or not, it combines with the sauce on the bird to bring out the deliciousness of the ancient rice. The L size seems to weigh about 200 grams, so it's quite bulky, but it's cheap at 138 yen. I really want to eat it every day.
