A must try soba restaurant in Kyoto. For tourists: Unfortunately they don’t have English menu (英語メニュー) the time I ate there, and they don’t speak English well. But just say “menu onegaishimasu”, translate the text using Google Translate or other camera-based translator, say “kore o kudasai” (pointing at the menu you want). Say itadakimasu before eat and gochisousamadeshita after you finish so they bring the bills to you. Free refill for water and ocha just like most restaurants in Japan!
