We stumbled upon this place on a rainy night in kyoto. As it was only 2 mins from the hotel and after a long day of sightseeing we wanted something warming. The service was great, the food was even better and the selection of plum was vast. We had the wasabi potato salad (which will now be bbq staple at our house), dipping beef curry soup (which was rich and spicy) and the flavoursome tori chicken. All in all highly recommend. English menu available.

Wow! What a special place! From the moment I stepped in the door I felt welcomed. A peaceful restaurant with lovely staff. The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. The special Italian style udon was delicious and their smaller plates of food are also amazing. Also, if you love plum wine, please go! Any plum wine you can think of. Thank you for making a tourist feel very welcome 😁

Best food I have had during my week in Japan! Recommendation for Yuzu Plum wine as well!
