Kyoto, Japan｜Menbo Yamamoto

My girlfriend and I have eaten in a lot of places during our many travels, but we are both convinced that we had the best meal we ever ate here in this restaurant, and that is not an exaggeration. It is a cozy little restaurant with extremely friendly staff, and the food... unbelievably delicious. Too bad we can't give 10 stars, because it certainly deserves it! When we are back to Kyoto in the future, we will definitely eat here again (maybe even several times a day... 😉)

Do absolutely visit this lovely family run establishment! We tried the bento with pork and the hot soba with tempura. Just excellent. We loved the tempura so much we asked for more and despite being nearly closing time they accommodated us. Super nice vibe. Go! Go! :) ah, please note it's in a small alley off the little street, easy to miss if you aren't focused

Authentic small noodle room with Udon, Ramen and Rice bowls. All food we ordered was excellent and the owners were super friendly. It's not very easy to find - there are no clear signs, and you need to go through a narrow passage (nicely lit) to a wooden sliding door. Inside are a few tables, directly next to the kitchen. Food was served very quickly.
