We both ordered the herring soba noodle soup, 😱. I’ve never had anything quite like this (the herring is cured and has some really deep flavour). It was absolutely fantastic!!! Staff were also lovely and it’s a nice quiet ambiance from the chaos of the Kyoto Station. Highly recommended.

Great food!

I really wanted to eat herring soba, so I went to the store while waiting to board the Shinkansen. It's been a while since I ate simple food. The refreshing soba noodles, the elegant dashi stock, and the slightly sweet and spicy herring meat went well together, making it a great dish. It was extremely delicious. There were a lot of people in the store at lunchtime as it was a three-day holiday, but the staff worked efficiently. thank you very much.
