Fantastic little corner in Kawaramachi! You do not need a fancy place to create wonderful experiences. Cheap and quick udon noodles soup with soba. Lovely Japanese old lady managing the venue, and delicious food.

Cheap and delicious. Most customers are locals and they seem to be regulars there judging by the way they had a chat with the owner.

In one of the tourist areas and with a lot of people, you find this small "old-fashioned" place, frequented by locals, with delicious udon or soba ramen. It's run by an older Japanese couple. You eat standing at the bar, but it's part of the experience. The menu is not very extensive but it is specialized and above all it is delicious and at very popular prices of between 390 and 600 yen. Highly recommended. I hope it maintains this authenticity and flavor for many more years.
