Kyoto, Japan｜Yoshida-ya

The Yoshida-ya is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with one of the best tasting menus around. My wife and I enjoyed a delightful and very filling lunch for about ¥2,500 (a fraction of the cost of some of the surrounding restaurants). The staff were helpful, and despite being packed, the atmosphere was tranquil and the food was brought out quickly. Perfect way to relax in the afternoon after being done with the nearby temple tours.

Food was comforting and was only full of locals and school kids visiting the area. Nice place to get away from the busy street if it’s not packed.

Great place in the middle of the busy street of Arashiyama, Kyoto. The food was super tasty, well cooked and of very high quality. The lady staffs were extremely good and made us feel very comfortable amongst so many local tourists. The pricing was very good and the menu has English titles. We throughly enjoyed everything, tempura with soba was very tasty and fresh, udon in chicken and leek soup was equally good and the fried chicken set was excellent. The hot sake was fantastic too !!
