Nara, Japan｜La Cachette

This French restaurant is located in a quiet residential area in Nishitomigaoka, Nara, and has received one Michelin star. This is a store that both my mother and I love. When I went there at the end of 2022, I was surprised to find that the content and taste had improved considerably. The marinated octopus was so delicious that I will never forget it. Apparently they use white wine balsamic vinegar.

I had made a reservation for the same day (lunch), but by chance there was space available and I was able to eat there. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic French cuisine at a very reasonable price. It's located in a residential area, so it's not the kind of restaurant you'd stop by when you're passing by, but it was exactly how I imagined a French restaurant to be, and it was very nice. The interior decoration and tableware used are authentic, and that alone makes you feel good. There are quite a few restaurants where the appetizers and soups are delicious, but the main dishes are not so good, but at this restaurant, both the meat and fish dishes were perfect. It's a full course meal, so it takes about 2 hours, but it's recommended for those who want a luxurious meal once in a while. If you make a reservation in advance, they say you can remove ingredients you don't like.

Each dish was carefully seasoned, looked gorgeous and was all delicious. It was so delicious that I thought it was the best dish I have ever eaten. I enjoyed a lot of combinations that I don't usually eat. The customer service was polite and I had a very good time
