Yamatokoriyama, Nara, Japan｜Unagi Daimon

Great experience from an unexpected visit. They offer marinated eels with different volumes of both rice and eels. I got the smallest one this time, but if I could visit one more time I would choose the larger one that costs 6800 yen for two people(not on the written menu but hanging on the wall) ; my acquaintances had it and it seemed so appetizing. Sucks that I don’t have pics for that. Mine tasted great with its crispy outside and perfect marinade so I ended up craving for more :( Other than eels they offer classic izakaya menus too. There are not so many tables but has a friendly vibe with the owner showing you the whole preparation of the eel. It has spacious parking lot just a few walks from the store, so I recommend no hesitation to visit this store if you have any chances of coming to this calm neighborhood.

I had the eel cut in front of me I had the Unaju, and the skin was crispy and fragrant, and it was very delicious. The kimchi was also delicious, so take it home! It was worth the long trip in the heat

It was more delicious than any eel I've ever eaten. Thank you to the owner and staff for the eel as well 😃 I want to go again.
