Didn't book a table but had a great time. They only had desserts, which were pricey, but they were stuffed with the famous local strawberries, and the shaved ice I got was filled with cookies, chocolate, and anko, which made it 100% worth it

Pretty much all the 1 star reviews are people complaining cause they didn’t book. Book a table before hand this is a super popular place! Food is professionally made, by hand using fresh ingredients from around Nara, the staff are amazingly friendly and the coffee was delicious! Lunch time is super popular so you definitely should book, check out the gift shop out too it has tons of hand made goodies from the owners, chefs and local artists.

Delicious food served in a beautiful old house. A little expensive but worth every yen. Definitely book in advance as it is very popular and show up on time to make the most of it.
