Nara, Japan｜cafe maru

Great little spot in Nara where we could find vegan and vegetarian food that was sumptuous. A cute cafe with good service and some books to read and also accepted credit cards

Hip as all get out. A popular, visually and aurally interesting place to take a seat and enjoy yourself. Look out for the daruma in the rafters! The pancakes are a delight, I went for the classic with ice cream on the side and loved every bite. I also had a latte, which was very light and fluffy, but had some kick lurking in it. The staff were conscientious and sweet to me during my solo visit, especially when they figured out I had to eat to take some medication. (I didn't tell them, but the sound of blister packs popping is a universal sign, I guess!) If you've got a bit of budget, drop in for a visit and take your time enjoying it.
