Nara is a tourist destination, so there are a lot of restaurants, but I didn't find many restaurants that I'd really recommend because of the short obi, sash, and nagashi style. But this place is truly wonderful. First of all, the atmosphere of the old-fashioned store is wonderful. The seasoning is light, Kansai-style, but the flavor is permeated by the strong dashi stock. Also, ○○ set meals usually include the main dish, side dishes, pickles, and miso soup with few ingredients, but this one is truly perfect, with lots of side dishes and miso soup with a very gentle taste. It was a set meal close to that. Moreover, at 1,250 yen, it's cheap considering the food served! It's been a long time since I've had a truly satisfying lunch. (Speaking of luxury, homemade old pickles would be perfect...)

A set meal restaurant located in a renovated old row house. The interior was stylish. It's a dish similar to Kyoto obanzai. Choose from two main dishes with Nara vegetables as a side dish. This time it was mackerel and meatballs. I had mackerel, and although the bones were in the way, it was very delicious. The side dishes were also fresh with slightly different seasonings. It's a little far from the center of Nara, so it wasn't too crowded and was comfortable.
