Nara, Japan｜Amberjack

As a Scots woman and an Irish man, we would like to say how good a whisky bar this is. A fantastic selection but more than that, knowledgable and friendly bar staff who introduced us to our new favourite whisky. The warm broth on entry was also a nice touch! Highly recommend a visit here!

What a brilliant hidden gem this bar is. Nestled down a beautiful laneway, this is a wonderful place to spend a few hours sampling their fabulous cocktails and whiskey range. Food options are excellent (though limited as this is a small drinking establishment). Mayu and Michihiro are gorgeous and welcoming, and unbelievably good at their craft. True artists. We couldn't have felt more comfortable. Lovely place, people and drinks.

Had such a wonderful time at Amberjack. The drinks and food are amazing, but also the staff and atmosphere is so welcoming. We went twice and had a great night both times. Tried almost every cream cocktail on the menu and enjoyed chatting to the other patrons and bartenders, Mayu and Michihiro - two of the most delightful people we met on this trip.
