Nara, Japan｜Juju Honten

This place was awesome. Being a foreign family of 5 it can be had to find places with space that we can order comfortably, but this was great! We ordered 4 set menus and one for my pescatarian wife which took some back and forth but the team were so good and patient with our limited Japanese. We had 4 or so courses that came out over the time and it was well worth it. Everything we ate was super good. They even changed some of the ingredients for the courses so my wife could have the share food along with her own selection. Could not recommend it highly enough , especially for the genuine teppanyaki experience

Love this place which we chanced upon on the way to Nara Park! Go for their course meals and be surprised with the quality of food they serve! Definitely one of the best Teppanyaki meals ever!

I don't leave reviews but after stumbling across this place I have to recomend it. I went in solo looking to fill a gap and had a marvellous meal. I had the mixed okonomiyaki and it was superb. The chef created it front of you and it was delicious. The resurant has smooth piano playing and has a minimalist but pleasant decor. Also the black beer is essentially a light stout from the uk so a nice reminder of home. The cost was less than I paid for a very poor meal the night before I would recomend to anyone in nara.
