Nara, Japan｜China Dining Hiten

Pleasantly surprised with a full vegetarian/ vegan menu. All dishes were superb and flavoursome, but the soybean meat/ vegetable dish with the sweet & sour sauce was definitely the favourite. So flavourful! Atmosphere was lovely and service wonderful also. Great pricing also for the food and service provided. A memorable dinner in Nara, thank you!

Wow! What a hidden little gem! Walking up to the second floor, we signed in and waited for maybe 5 minutes to be seated. The restraint has curtains dividing each table and the main walkway, so it feels very private even though you can hear the atomosphere around the place. We rang the bell, and during lunch rush, it only took 3 minutes to have our order taken. Shortly after, maybe a 10-15 minute wait, our food arrived. The food was HOT and FRESH! Every plate we ordered was so tasty. The pricing I felt was fair, and the portions were good.

Love the atmosphere at this Chinese restaurant! The private booths have a very authentic feel to them They had their own vegan menu! We had the bottom four options, all of them were good, I recommend the salad especially as it's quite unique and had quite a nice texture on account of the rice paper
