Kyoto, Japan｜Fujiya-bekkan Chinryutei

I enjoyed this restaurant so much cause 1) it’s located on a beautiful hill and is next to a brook; 2) it’s spacious and very clean; 3) most area I saw is covered by tatami including lady’s room 😄; 4) staffs are professional, friendly, courteous, pleasant and volunteered to take photos for us; 5) they provide excellent food: fresh, tasty and presentable! It was definitely worth our search, efforts and trip!

While listening to the murmuring of the river, you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine featuring carp, sweetfish, and eel! The sensible temperature is cool at around 27 degrees Celsius even in the middle of summer! All the dishes are very delicious and the amount is just right for an adult man, but the food was slow and it took 2 hours for lunch...

It is highly recommended. Arrive early to have a good environment and time to take pictures. Avoid when there are many people. The price and meals are very good. I like it very much. It is delicious and the scenery is beautiful, but when there are many people, the meal will be rushed.
