Totally agree with Jamie Bride's review. Lovely, cozy and tasty lunch after our visit at Kinkakuji. Low key from the outside but probably one of the culinary high points of our visit in Kyoto. And very reasonably priced on top of that... とてもおいしいです!

A small restaurant, run by a lovely couple. We went at lunch time, and it was a set meal (teishoku) that was beautifully arranged, and all very tasty. It is described as Kyoto traditional food on their sign, and came with the usual set meal of miso, pickles, rice, but had many little fish, egg and prawn pieces.
