Uji, Kyoto, Japan｜和夢茶カフェ

Waited about 10-min to get seated here. Really neat and cozy environment. The matchazuke set was amazing and just a lot of fun to eat. The cha-han made from Uji tea leaves was also uniquely delicious. For dessert we got the zenzai which was served with a creamy whisked matcha. The flavors really came through and we killed the dessert super fast even though we were already stuffed.

I have tried a bowl of matcha with red bean and soft flour balls. It is great. Not sweet matcha combined with very soft flour balls is so delicious. The restaurant vibe is like an old age of japan.

This review is for the gift shop only. The gift shop is not big but packed with locally made Uji and Kyoto themed cute things at reasonable prices. Owners were friendly and helpful.
