Unbelievable. Incredible. Fantastic. We came across this restaurant by chance on a rainy day and we were lucky enough to find a table. Best thing that could have happened to us!! The chef is a MACHINE!! The best!! He cooks at the speed of light and he is an outstanding performer. He does everything: from attending the customers to cooking all the dishes, and he does it brilliantly. And the food… Japan meets France (and I’d say Europe in general, with some influences from other cuisines, like the Italian) and creates a wonder. The sauces are insane, the meat is of the best quality, and the vegetables are even grown by the chef. AND AT A VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE! A piece of paradise at the end of Pontocho Alley.

The food is so good and I even forgot to take pictures for a few dishes. The chef is a cool dude who shows mastery in making the best use of various local ingredients. Love salad, pork cutlet, duck, shrimp tempura, etc. With 6000 yen per person, my wife and I had a wonderful dinner that would cost more even in our home Taipei.

The food is very delicious and impressive. The Chef is very gentleman and nice to customers. A good place to come and we will definitely come while next trip to Kyoto.
