Nara, Japan｜Momoshiki

Came across while walking the street to find lunch and decided to try. Quite empty when we arrived which made us sus but the sukiyaki definitely did not disappoint. Every bit was yummy and the beef was especially tender. Broth was also surprisingly good, we finished down to the last drop. Worth a try if you are there!

Originally, I chose a sukiyaki specialty restaurant because I couldn't place Shizu kamameshi and stubborn pork chops, but I didn't expect the taste to be surprising. A4 Wagyu beef and matsutake are boiled together and then dipped in egg liquid. It is smooth and tender in the mouth, salty and slightly sweet, fat but not greasy. I wish I could eat more bowls of rice!

Unplanned visit to this sukiyaki store just 2 minutes walk away from Nara station. If you are a big fan of sukiyaki, you must not miss this store. They offer Wagyu sukiyaki lunch set which costs 2420 yen it’s very affordable compared to many sukiyaki stores in Japan. The portion is big enough to fill an adult male. Make sure you eat the beef with the pasteurise egg that they serve along. Moreover, they also sell their sukiyaki sauce in a bottle you can buy them and allow you to make your own tasty sukiyaki at your home !
