Nara, Japan｜Curry House Mine

I came here for lunch with my friends after seeing the positive reviews left by other travelers. We had an excellent experience. The two ladies that ran the shop were very friendly. We felt like we were invited into a local's home, and enjoyed a meal that one might have when visiting their parents after a long time away.

This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Japan. It felt like we were eating at a Nara local’s kitchen run two lovely ladies. Me and my husband shared Mild curry (spice level 1) with vegetables (fresh and juicy), croquette, water jugs for each table and decorations all around the kitchen. (Also, freeee salad or ice cream!! So yummy and fresh ) This was probably one of my favorite meals in Japan so far because I could see and feel the love that went into each dish that they prepared. Highly recommend for we appreciated the kindness and compassion that went into them providing us above and beyond lunch :) thank you!!!

Lovely little curryhouse. A bit hard to find but really worth a detour. There are 2 different curries, one is beef based and a bit spicy and the other one is vegetable based. The curry is served with rice and a choice of topping. We had tonkatsu with our curry, which was delicious. The staff is really friendly and even though they dont speak a lot of english, they tried their best (: There is also an english menu.
