Nara, Japan｜Yamato Modern

A neat, two level spot fairly near Nara Park with great izakaya style fares. The chicken karaage was fantastic and the side salad was refreshing and provided a nice contrast and balance to the whole meal.

Went on a weekday night. The store has a good atmosphere and the staff are friendly. I ordered a snack set, Nara-style chicken nanban, chicken char siu and Narazuke pizza. Everything was delicious and I wanted to repeat it again.

I came to the first restaurant when I wasn't really hungry. We had an unusual lineup of alcohol such as Peak Whiskey, as well as deer and narazuke. A lively place to drink. It was delicious.
