Nara, Japan｜Miyama

Found this shop through a recommendation from a Youtuber and he was right about this shop. The food is tasty, nice presentation, and has a good portion. The tea with rice is very comforting to eat. If you get to sit at the window, it's very nice to look at the street, the people, and the deer passing by. It is just a turn to the Todai-ji temple.

We waited approximately 20 minutes for lunch on a midweek Wednesday, and while the restaurant was busy they efficiently tried to get us seated as soon as possible. Very friendly and welcoming of foreigners, as expected being in a touristy spot as Nara Park. Menu was explained well, and my husband and I each ordered the "No. 1" menu item of braised beef and roast beef. We loved the "three ways" you can enjoy the meal, it was a lovely experience.

Worth the wait! The host was very nice and accommodating to us. The food was delicious and flavorful. We love the robot that goes around the restaurant. Our food came in fast and hot. The servers also taught us how to to eat it right which was awesome. Highly recommended!
