Nara, Japan｜Omitsu

I had a pleasant stay here because of the owners. They are very lively and kind towards foreigners. The taste of okonomiyaki was tasty too as it was grilled hot right in front, not spectacular but very good. 1200 yen well spent.

We didn’t make a reservation but luckily they had a free table for two. The ‘mixed’ okonomiyaki was DELICIOUS and the yakisoba too. The chef (and probably the owner) was very friendly and kind, the food came in a very short time, which we really appreciated since we were very hungry. There is a nice atmosphere, feels very authentic Japanese. I would totally recommend it.

We ran into the owner by chance on the streets while looking for a place to eat, everything was closed at the time. We asked him for a good place to eat, and he told us he makes okonomiyaki, and to come to his place. He opened 2 hours early for us and was the most friendly, accommodating host for the whole visit. The food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and Mitsuo was incredibly friendly and amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nara.
