Kyoto, Japan｜Asipai Kyoto

Very inexpensive, very delicious Indian influenced curry dishes which are light, filling and beautifully plated. The restaurant is on a small backstreet and has a sign that says “Karaage” on it. I ate here twice and tried to go a third time but I got there too late. The food was a perfect way to start a long day of walking around Kyoto.

I randomly had a craving for a warm curry meal and found this place, it was a delicious dinner! I chose the spicy chicken and coconut curry combination with a side of eggplant and it was exactly what I was after. All the flavours matched so well and I liked all the small sides they included in the dish itself. Also the staff were so sweet and nice, I felt really comfortable dining here alone :)

The chicken curry is good, but the coconut curry is just on a different level. Highly recommend if this is your first visit. The rice is a little bit raw though.
