A quiet, charming place where you sit cross-legged to enjoy Ochazuke meals. The vibe is almost spa-like: whisper quiet and calming. We loved their fluffy tamagoyaki and egg plants. Their fish was excellent as well. This is frequented by many locals, who formed the line out the door, so we knew it was going to be good, and it was. They speak limited English but good enough to communicate. They were very polite and accommodating, giving us an English menu and explaining things.

Delicious set meal of sashimi, eggplant, tomago, and rice paired with junmai daiginjo sake! Very nice service from the staff! Great deal on a local meal!

Heaven in your mouth. What an amazing experience. Unbelievable food and service. I would fly back to Japan just to eat at this place again.
