Kyoto, Japan｜お茶漬けバァ−英楽＆cafe chi楽

Highly recommend! We had an amazing Japanese meal and an even better experience with the hospitable and kind owner of the bar/restaurant. We had great Ochatsuke (salmon + roe/duck) and sake. After which we switched to the bar section, where we explored Japanese whiskey and had a great interaction with the owner. If you are in for a fun time and a great experience, please do not skip Eiraku!

We were lured in by the mysterious atmosphere. Turned out it is a Ochasuke shop with a cafe on the second floor.. the Ochasuke (we had the salmon and the duck) was absolutely delicious! The owner could not have been a better host..sharing his homemade shochu and great Japanese whiskeys. We had a lovely night and great interaction. A beautiful small restaurant with a great experience we would highly recommend!

My favorite café in Kyoto so far. A little hidden from the streets, but the staff were so kind and warm. The daily cake was a matcha pound cake and it was just the right amount of fluffiness and sweetness.
