For all foreigners who may not be able to understand reviews in Japanese, this one’s for you! Without a doubt, this is one of the best sukiyaki we’ve had (perhaps the best). The quality of the meat alone will trump any sukiyaki places you’ve ever had. We’d highly recommend ordering the best select of meat (A5 Wagyu 雪 近江牛) which goes for only ¥9000 yen per person. Aside from the meat, the vegetables, tofu, etc. that come along with the meal are also top-notch quality. You will not regret having the pleasure to eat at this place. *Reservations are not required, but recommended*

Hidden in the bustling part of Kyoto is this gem of a sukiyaki place. Simple, delicious, and reasonably priced. I’ve eaten here twice and both of my visits have been awesome. Like any other restaurant in any Japanese touristy town, advance reservation is highly recommended. The easiest way is to get your hotel to reserve the table for you. Don’t forget to try to pick out the meal course before making the reservation. There are only a couple, as the restaurant emphasizes what they do best, sukiyaki.
