Ordered Kinmedai fish with 2 side dishes. There is plenty side dishes to choose. Beside that, variety type of fish to choose too. Staff is friendly and helpful, got english menu at the counter. Rice, soup and tea is freeflow. If you looking for simple yet healthy meal, this is the place.

Ordered 4 meals and 2 sakes at this restaurant. If you need to get your feed of Japanese grilled fish, this is the place to go. You choose your fish which ranges from 500 to 900 yen, and then the set depending on how many side dishes you want (1 to 3 side dishes). If you order a set, you can get free refills for rice and miso soup (just ask the staff). Tea is self serve. You can try adding your fish to rice, and put in some genmai tea (roasted rice green tea) to make it into a ocha-zuke. In regards to sake, they have a very good selection of Japanese sake. Not the generic sakes you can find in your home country so I highly recommend getting a serving of sake here. I ordered Kokuryu (medium bodied with after taste) and Aramasa Kosmos (fragrant, very light and light bodied). Both sake come as chilled. The only thing to note, is that the place does take 15 minutes to grill their fish. If you have other plans for the night, you might want to try another quick place. Otherwise, this is a really nice place to have dinner, get some sake, and wind down. You pay after finishing your meal and before leaving the restaurant.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The fish was fresh and delicious.
