We can echo all the other 5 star reviews for this place. Just had a lovely evening. The couple who run it are warm and friendly and the other customers are too. It’s got a relaxed local atmosphere and amazing food. There’s no English menu, but nothing google translate doesn’t solve. We had horse mackerel sashimi, tomato salad, octopus and steak among other things. The quality of the ingredients and the care in the preparation really shone and I would come here all the time if I could! It’s very reasonable and you should definitely go if you are in Kyoto.

Fabulous food in this small, friendly izakaya. Don’t let the lack of an English menu get in the way – the owners do a great job at explaining the food on offer, and with Google Translate everyone can more or less work out what’s going on. We had amazing fish, steak and vegetables, and fabulous corn and prawn fritters. The owners could not have been more helpful, and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Our only sadness was that we couldn’t stay in Kyoto longer and return for another meal.

The best dinner we have had while in Japan 💓. The service was outstanding, the 2 sweet couple was helping us with the selection of food ( the menu was just in Japanese) so we trusted their selection and we didn’t get disappointed. Wow! All the flavors where amazing and the food came super fast. The bill was almos 10.000¥ for 4 people . We went back on our last day in Kyoto, food and service was 100% again 💓
