This is a really cool place to eat a full dinner or just to grab a beer with small bites. It's got items from raw horse meat, sashimi, tempura, to yakitori. It's relatively inexpensive as well. Tempura quantities vary depending on the item ordered. The staff double checked that we ordered the correct amount, and it's an appreciated gesture.

Highly recommend this place! Delicious tempura, sashimi, and alcohol! Was here on 26 and 31 Dec 2022 and had to book in advance for 31. They knew I was coming on 31 and provided an English menu! Come equipped with google translate for ease of ordering! Take note of the special menu!

Booked a table to bring family to a local pub for real Kyoto food and drinks. Left with satisfied tummies and unforgettable tempura. The prawn and shiitake mushroom tempura is a must. Ordered one, but went back to ask for more. The same go for the clams pots. Horse meat were okay, but not as what I would expect. Beers and suntory whiskey are good. The owner was nice to welcome us with an English menu, while I tried to communicate with my rusty Japanese. You can go without knowing a Japanese word. All in all, it was a nice dinner at a local pub.
