Kyoto, Japan｜Matsuri

A small restaurant that serves amazing traditional Japanese food! There are only ~10 seats, so it can be hard for large groups to be accommodated. We went with a group of 5 and the owner was very kind and was able to sit us. The food was delicious, and we had some nice conversation with the owners. If you don't speak Japanese it may be difficult to order, but they were very understanding and helpful. Would definitely recommend, it was a fantastic experience!

This is an obanzai restaurant within walking distance from Tofukuji Temple. You can choose 4 kinds of your favorite side dish from more than 10 kinds of Japanese food menu. A set of rice and miso soup is very reasonably priced at 1000 yen. It was so delicious and great. The staff at the shop were also very friendly, and they talked about recommended spots in Kyoto, etc., and it was a fun lunch time. Highly recommended ♡ If you go nearby again, it's a shop you'll definitely want to visit!

Been there last year. Still remember it. Really nice place, really good family like food, owners are nice and take care of you, even if you don't speak japanese. Could only recommend the place ! Already sent few friends there :)
