Ran out a lot of things on Sunday night, but everything we got today were really good! Small portion but affordable price. We were super full after the meal and a bit tipsy, only cost less than 5000 yen for two people 🥹 Highly recommend their eggplant, stewed potato with pork, and garlic shrimp. Beef tendon with daikon was yummy too but a bit on the sweeter side.

This is the standing bar I would visit every time when I revisit Kyoto. Cozy and atmosphere is great! The beer is very nice and the food is good too. And don’t worry if you can’t speak Japanese, as they have English menu with pictures so it’s easy for you to get the nice food. Strongly recommend the Tofu and the bruised beef. If you have never been to an Izakaya and you want to try, I am sure you find this place great! Enjoy!

What a find in Kyoto! This bustling standing bar is located very close to Kyoto Station and has to offer a great (local) atmosphere, great finger food and cheap drinks! The staff is just so efficient and friendly (write down the dish number on a piece of paper and pass to the first waiter (waitress) you see). English menu is available, or displayed above the counter in Japanese. The sashimi, the fried chicken and the omelett were so tasty (at a very low price too!) that you have to order them once more. Go for it!
