Last dinner at Kyoto so we wanted to try some 'local' food. This place present the most local Kyoto vegetables steam in a wooden box. We went for it and never regret. Amazingly sweet and crunchy vegetables, well seasoned rice and fresh seafood forms a invincible combo. Service is great and atmosphere is awesome. The plastic food on display doesn't look very appetizing, but I'm glad I gave this place a try anyways. The food is very good. Most dishes include steamed seasonal vegetables and two different types of dipping sauce in addition to the main entree. Medium price range. When busy expect to wait for an open table.
