More Comments at Google MapFinally, the state of emergency has been lifted, so I went to visit Mr. Tsune, who I had always been curious about every time I passed by. The interior is a Japanese-style space unified with calm colors. There is a U-shaped counter where you take off your shoes and there are two tables that seat four people. It happened to be just before opening time, so I was able to get in without a reservation, but there were a lot of customers who had reservations, and the place quickly filled up. At Obanzai, I tried the spicy squid and green onions and the homemade rice bran pickles, and they were all very delicious! With high expectations, I ordered the famous oden. The daikon radish floating in the gentle dashi soup and the special white miso-based filling are irresistible. The must-try is waraji momo. A large chicken thigh is cooked over two days until it's soft enough to be easily cut with chopsticks. It goes perfectly with the miso filling and is exquisite. To finish the meal, we had miso soup and nyumen, which were also delicious. They also serve good quality alcohol at very reasonable prices, so it is recommended for those who want to enjoy alcohol. It was a feast! I will ask again.
A stylish oden restaurant typical of Kyoto. Oden is eaten with white miso instead of mustard. The combination of white miso sauce and dashi stock gives it a very elegant sweet but not too sweet taste. Other items are also good! Alcohol is also available, including sake and shochu. The inside of the store is bright and comfortable. If you want to go to a restaurant typical of Kyoto, this is the restaurant you'll want to bring along.
Dashi x white miso was very delicious. The store clerk was also easy to talk to and I felt relieved.
