Kyoto, Japan｜Oyako Shokudo

Wow…. Probably the the best food I have had in Kyoto, so simple and so delicious. Had the Gyoza as lunch set. Different flavours, all very rich and perfectly seasoned. Very authentic. The lady who cooks is adorable and you really feel as you if you are in her home kitchen.

We had the Gyoza set and the fried rice. Really liked the Gyoza! Highly recommended. It was also really affordable

It’s a small place that doesn’t look like much but has some of the best food available in Kyoto. The food is simple but delicious and authentic. The old lady and her family who run the place are incredibly friendly and inviting. Cannot recommend this place enough even if I would like to gate keep this gem.
