The food was amazing, authentic Japanese. Service was excellent, always made sure everything was good with us.

Very interesting access via a tiny elevator down one level from the street. Opened directly into a small restaurant with a bar. Food (set menu) was very good: small appetizer plate including marinated fiddlehead fern, asparagus, fish eggs, baby squid & crab. Other dishes included sashimi, tempura, broiled fish, an interesting lotus mochi, yaki (broiled) onigiri, raw eggplant with a ginger sauce, and a small strawberry cheesecake for dessert.

Shimeno Handa Somen is so delicious that you should definitely try it 😋 Nyumen and somen are the best I was surprised at how delicious the soup stock was.
