I was solo thus seated right away even Friday at 630pm. The restaurant was sold out. The food is great. All the sashimis I ordered were fresh. Chicken dishes were tasty. Veggies are local Kyoto Manganji produced and excellent. Cold Sakes in the frig are great! I will visit again!

When I stopped by at night, I was able to encounter Tsumoto-style bloodless sashimi for the first time. You could feel the freshness, the flavor was deep, and it was delicious. I liked it so much that I came back a few days later with a friend. I was happy that my friend liked it too. Also, the staff were very friendly and we had a comfortable meal both days.

[Izakaya with delicious fish] If you want to eat delicious fish at a reasonable price in Kyoto, Issei is definitely the place to go. It was my second time, but it was consistently delicious. The stewed red sea bream, sashimi platter, and bonito yukke bowl are truly exquisite. It seems that the restaurant was originally located in Tokyo, but moved to Shijo Karasuma, Kyoto, and the secret to its deliciousness is that it uses a special method called ``Tsumoto-style ultimate blood removal'' to keep the fish fresh. The fish was tightly packed and crunchy. We had a lot of delicious drinks and food, and for only 6,000 yen per person, we were very satisfied. By the way, as a side note, the second floor is a tatami room. There is a counter and one private room on the first floor, and if you reserve that private room, people will think you are someone who can work lol.
